Environment Ministry have said that، they have allocated budget to make sewerage systems in 54 islands this year.
According to information publicized by the ministry 38 out of 54 projects are to be conducted from the PSIP budget of the government. The remaining will be done with loans.
Work is underway in 10 islands and the tender design work in 27 islands are going on. The 16 systems that will be built with loans are also in the tender design process. Environment Ministry expects to start the projects by September.
