The Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) remains steadfastly rooted in its founding values and will continue to advocate for the rights of the people, says the party’s president Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, as they mark the MDA’s 13th anniversary.
In an address on Saturday, on occasion of the MDA’s 13th anniversary, Siyam, who also serves as the parliamentary representative for Dh. Meedhoo constituency, extended greetings and well wishes to all party members.
He also offered sincere thanks to the people who supported and contributed to, and continue to support and contribute to the development of the party.
Siyam said the MDA is a “people’s party, founded for the sake of the Maldivian people.”
He said that the main goal of the party is to protect the rights of the people and find development and prosperity for the people.
“We were able to remain rooted in these values due to the trust and support you, the beloved people of this country, have in us. Therefore, I have this opportunity to assure all members that we will remain sincere and steadfast in upholding this party’s values and in advocating for the people,” he said.
Siyam also mentioned the Local Council Elections scheduled for next year, and thanked all MDA members and supporters campaigning for the party’s candidates.
“My sincere prayer is for success and prosperity for this party and its members, and for this country,” he said.
The MDA was founded by Siyam on December 20, 2012.
