A 30-year-old man from L. Mabaidhoo, identified as Ibrahim Nauzam, has tragically passed away following a motorcycle accident in L. Maandoo.
According to Maldives Police Service, the accident occurred around 1:40 AM near the Maandoo Bend area, when the motorcycle Nauzam was riding lost control and crashed. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment, but despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 8:45 AM.
Police have not yet released further details regarding the cause of the accident. The case remains under investigation.
Nauzam's death has cast a shadow over both the Mabaidhoo and Maandoo communities, as friends and family mourn the sudden loss of a young life.
