Agreement reached to remove obstacles and expedite development in Haa Dhaalu Atoll
The Ministry of Tourism has revealed that significant agreements have been reached between the Haa Dhaalu Atoll Council and the Ministry regarding measures to remove obstacles to the development of Haa Dhaalu Atoll and to expedite ongoing work.
The Ministry stated that they met with members of the Atoll Council to discuss development projects being carried out in the atoll. According to the Ministry, the meeting primarily focused on the latest updates regarding current development projects in the region.
Furthermore, the Ministry noted that both parties engaged in extensive discussions on reviewing projects that have commenced but remain unfinished, and explored ways to complete these works more rapidly.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on the necessary steps to launch important initiatives and projects for the atoll’s progress that have yet to begin. The Ministry emphasized that its goal is to work closely with councils to implement the government’s policies for atoll development, noting that the objective is to provide essential services to the public as effectively as possible.
The Ministry concluded that as a result of this meeting, both parties have come to agreements on actions to be taken to eliminate barriers to the development of Haa Dhaalu Atoll and to accelerate the pace of work.
