State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) has conducted a cleanup event at all powerhouses operated by the company.
STELCO said the aim of the cleanup is to promote cleanliness and hygiene among its staff and ensure a clean and safe work environment for them. As part of the programme, all general waste were removed from the powerhouses and unused items that can auctioned off such as power cables and steelwork were identified.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the event, Managing Director of STELCO Ahmed Shareef highlighted the importance of attaching a special priority towards maintaining the cleanliness of one’s workplace. He expressed hope the event would encourage staff to keep their work environments clean and safe.
The event was carried out simultaneously in 35 powerhouses operated by STELCO.
