Maldives Customs Service has celebrated the international Customs day and launched the Service’s preferred client program, the “Customs Accredited Client” (CAC).
CAC was launched by MWSC and Lily Enterprises Chairman Ahmed Nasir (Mallaa Nasir).
The program grants special concessions to the preferred clients, such as ease of documentation, for long standing and reputed clients of the service.
Commissioner General of Customs, Mohamed Junaid said that the program will be expanded and enhanced in the future. He thanked the WCO and ADB for their assistance in programs to develop the workforce of the Customs.
Junaid added that the service of Customs highly relied on information technology and as such Maldivian Customs was progressing towards those levels as well.
The staff of Customs who had completed their training programs were given their certificates in the ceremony.
Officials of World Customs Organization and ADB took part in the ceremony.
