PPM Deputy Leader and Fonadhoo Constituency MP Abdu Raheem Abdullah said that there was no issue is conducting Parliament sessions anywhere, adding that both President Yameen and President Nasheed were sworn in parliament sessions held in Dharubaaruge.
Abdu Raheem said that there was no specific location for Parliament meetings and that the location can change depending on circumstances.
“Therefore, it is not responsible to boycott the session saying that the session is held in Dharubaaruge. If it is the case, then the tenure of President Nasheed will not be acceptable, would it?” he said.
Abdul Raheem added that the electricity issue at the Chamber is still being resolved and that resuming the Parliament session in the Chambers may be delayed by as much as a week.
