Bank of Maldives has unveiled ATMs capable of accepting cash- and cheque-deposits.
At the time of launch، 22 such machines will be located throughout capital Male’ allowing customers to deposit cash and cheques without having to wait in long queues، said Andrew Healy، CEO of Bank of Maldives.
“Now، this is a significant milestone for the bank as customers won’t need to queue in the branches، and they can now do their banking 24 hours a day، 7 days a week،” Healy said.
Moreover، Healy said that self-service banking is becoming global، and as such، bringing this system to Maldives is an important step.
In addition to cash- and cheque- deposits، the new ATMs will support loan payments، transfers، and bill payments as well as all services offered in current ATMs.
The new ATMs are located at BML Lite، BML Majeedhee Magu Branch، BML Main Branch، Velaanaage’ ATM Centre، and the new ATM Centre located near Artificial Beach.
