National Security Committee of the Parliament has approved Dr Mohamed Faisal to be appointed as the new Maldivian Ambassador accredited to the People’s Republic of China.
The committee approved Dr Faisal unanimously during a meeting on Wednesday. The nomination will be asked for vote on the parliament floor for final endorsement. President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom sent Dr. Faisal’s name for parliament approval on 6 July. Dr Mohamed Faisal recently completed his doctorate on Developmental Studies at the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
