Civil Court has received a case by a private individual seeking MVR 6 million loaned to Ismail Abdul Latheef, Head of Maleesha Hajj and Umra Group.
The case was submitted by Ismail Rasheed (Souvenirs Rasheed).
A person speaking on behalf of Ismail Rasheed told Sun that the case asks to seek back a total of MVR 6 million which had been lent to Ismail Abdul Latheef on different occasions by Ismail Rasheed.
Civil Court confirmed that they have received a case by Ismail Rasheed against Ismail Abdul Latheef but said that their registrar has not yet received the details of the case. An official from the court said that they need to review the appropriate details of the case in order to accept the case into court.
Ismail Abdul Latheef currently faces fraud charges taken up against him by the State for collecting a total of MVR 8.6 million from a large number of people with the promise of taking them to Hajj during 2012 (1433 Hijri) and then betraying them.
