The Maldivian carrom team’s men’s division has secured a spot at the 7th World Carrom Championship’s Super League, after winning two consecutive matches against Malaysia and Poland on Thursday with a score of 3-0 each.
The tournament, which is ongoing in Birmingham City, UK, from November 7 to 11, is attended by 126 players across 17 countries. The Super League is a special event that is joined by the tournament’s top four teams.
The Maldivian team participating in the tournament consists of 4 male players and 4 female players. They are contesting in the tournament’s Doubles Event, Swiss League, Team Event and Singles Event.
The women’s division on Thursday has also claimed a 3-0 victory over the UK.
