No student will be isolated: Dr. Aishath Shiham

Education Minister Dr. Aishath Shiham has said that the Ministry aims on heading forward in the educational field without allowing isolation of any student.
The minister hosted talks under the Dhasvaru program, which was held yesterday in Traders Hotel. The apprenticeship program is targeted for students, to teach and enrich in them work ethics and work environments. She stated that every child has a talent in them, and that with opportunities of education and training, the expressed belief that they can excel in their talents.
Traders Hotels General Manager, Vathsala Subramaniam also participated in the talks.
She said that starting today, students can team up with the hotels employees, and get the chance to work alongside with them, to boost their skills through experience. As such, starting from Monday after orientation, the students can spend 3 days of the week in various fields of hotel operations.
Vathsala pointed out that the current 50 per cent of employees of the hotel are Maldivians, meaning that such an opportunity was proven to be valuable progress to the Maldivian students.
While 17 students throughout 4 schools had embarked in the Dhasvaru Program for the opportunity to hone their skills, the 4 schools had signed an MOU with Traders Hotel today.
Students from Majeedhiyyaa School, Jamaaluddheen School, Kalaafaanu School and Muhiyyudheen School take part in the program.
