Bus in which Maldivian pilgrims were traveling did not turn over: Shaheem

Islamic Minister Dr. Shaheem Ali Saeed has shut down rumors on Sunday night, which claimed that a bus traveling with Maldivian pilgrims had turned over in Mecca.
A text message sent out to the media of the country by the minister, who is currently in Saudi Arabia, revealed that a bus did not turn over with Maldivian pilgrims in it. He added that the news is a false rumor.
The minister said that all Maldivian pilgrims are in good condition, and further added that the government is closely monitoring the health of the pilgrims.
While almost 1,000 Maldivians attended the pilgrimage this year, all of them had been able to make it to the land of Arafah completing the pilgrimage. The Maldivian Hajj Mission in Saudi had revealed that the Saudi government had made many arrangements, which made the rituals of Hajj much easier for the Maldivian pilgrims.
