United Nations praises Maldivian Government

United Nations praise the efforts by the Maldivian government to contain the water situation in Male’ City.
According to a statement released by the United Nation’s Resident Coordinator’s office, the government’s response to the situation was very well executed and that providing 130,000 residents with bottled water and setting up networks of taps was ideal.
The statement also said that they were impressed and appreciated the fact that the special needs people, the elderly and the children’s needs were considered as first priority.
While the United Nation praised the government’s work, 180 tonnes of rain water stored in the building of United Nations in Male’ was distributed to the citizens of Male’.
