Dark Rain Entertainment’s 8th movie “Vaashey Mashaa Ekee” made its premiere at Olympus theater Tuesday night, attracting praise and favorable reviews by the movie-goers and critics alike.
Jumayyil Nimal plays the role of a husband who is not very keen on having children, the polar opposite of his wife - played by Mariyam Majudhaa - who adores children. Along with the two up-and-rising lead actors, the additional cast of 2 foreign actors, comedians Ahmed Sunee and Faisal, as well as the popular music band Scores of Flair’s singer Fubu, makes the romantic comedy all the more appealing to the audience.
Ali Shifau (Chippe) takes the helm as the movie’s director, with Mahudhee Ahmed working on its screenplay. It is noteworthy that the movie’s shootings took place in Malé, Hulhumalé and Villimalé. While six songs are featured in the movie, all are original tracks.
The movie is expected to premiere in atolls very soon.
