Ministry of Economic Development has opened the opportunity once again for interested candidates to contribute a design for a logo to establish products which are unique to the Maldives.
The logo will be used by the Economic Ministry under their Maldivian Products Certification Scheme, which will be implemented as a means of identifying products which are Maldivian inventions.
Previously, on September 30th, the Ministry made an announcement requesting interested candidates to submit their designs before the November 2nd. However, due to only a few submissions, the date has now been extended till the November 18th.
The Economic Ministry stated that while the competition is open for any interested individual, the lucky winner will receive MVR 25,000.
While the Ministry noted that the logo should include the saying ‘Genuine Maldivian Product’ or an image which describes the statement, more details such as the guidelines for the competition as well as the entrance form will be available at the Economic Ministry’s website.
The Ministry added that the decision to include a logo to differentiate products native to Maldives was made as a means of promoting those products.
