National carrier Maldivian has announced that the airline is to release a magazine aimed at tourists, titled “Maldivian Holidays”.
Speaking to Vnews, Island Aviation’s Head of Travel Department Mohamed Rizvy stated that the first edition of the magazine would be released this June. He also stated that 15,000 copies of the first edition will be released. Island Aviation reports that these editions would be distributed free of charge for tourists.
Rizvy said that advertising options were open for interested parties.
“As we are an airline, we have many customers from many destinations. We will ensure that the magazines are available from the international fairs we take part in and in Maldivian flights,” Rizvy said.
He added that the magazine will focus on holiday options, information on resorts and guesthouses and investment opportunities in Maldives.
Rizvy stated that the publication will be mainly in English. As such, the first edition will be published in English and Chinese, with the subsequent editions being released in more languages.
