Police have started search for four suspects in a cheque bounce case.
Police have released a notice for the arrest of Adam Shareef (43 years) of Male' Municipality Special Register number 7675, Ahmed Athif (50 years) of Ma. Aaniru, Shihadh Ibrahim (34 years) of Hulhumaale' 11088 and Yoosuf Umar (61 years) of Noovilaage, Sh. Milandhoo.
Out of the four, Adam Shareef has previous records of releasing cheques without cash in his bank account as well as records of having assaulted a minor while in a responsible position. Ahmed Athif, has a pending court sentence that was given to him in absentia, in addition to the cheque bounce case.
Police have appealed public to share any information available regarding the four suspects.
