Islamic State (IS) militants have killed a Maldivian, who was fighting alongside the jihadist group in Iraq.
Vnews acknowledges that the Maldivian, along with two others were killed after a ruling by an IS Court. However, the reason why they were sentenced to be executed was unclear immediately.
While there are Maldivians fighting alongside the militant group, this is the first time news about the killing of one had hit media.
The number of Maldivians traveling to Syria and other countries in the name of Jihad had also been on the rise as of late.
