Written by: Mohamed Humaam Ali
Niuma Mohamed has resigned from her post as Vice Chairperson of the Film Association and has “permanently” left the association.
Niuma informed Vnews that she gave the resignation letter a week earlier and added that she had been in the film industry for many years and made many contributions. Hence, she stated that she does not feel that she can be in an association which is unable to defend her. She said this in regards to the recent attacks on her character in the media, which the Film Association refused to comment on.
She has posted about her resignation and made several grievances against the association on her Facebook page.
The Film Association Chairperson Abdul Fattah said that they have not received Niuma’s resignation letter and are not aware of her resignation.
