Island Aviation announced that they are working on establishing a system where Maldivian Airlines tickets can be purchased from four islands in Raa Atoll.
Maldivian is currently making trips to the atoll's Ifuru airport. While it has been around a month since the airport became operational, tickets are only being sold in Ifuru.
Island Aviation revealed that they are working on establishing and training agents in some of the islands in Raa Atoll.
They also noted that they would give more importance to islands with bigger populations when establishing the agents in four islands.
Island Aviation has already setup agents in Ungoofaru, Alifushi and Dhuvaafaru.
A one-way ticket from Ifuru is sold for MVR 777 while two-way tickets are sold for MVR 1,554.
