President establishes Maldivian embassy in Germany

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has established a Maldivian embassy, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the Federal Republic of Germany on June 22.
This was announced on Tuesday by the President's Office.
The embassy will play the role of furthering ties between the two countries, and others in the region; to enhance the good will between its peoples and its governments, to promote Maldivian tourism in Germany and to strengthen existing bilateral relationships.
President's Office said the number "467" has been assigned to letters sent to the embassy in Germany.
