The Indian Ambassador to Maldives Rajeev Shahare says that India wants to participate more in the development of Maldives
He said this while speaking during a courteous visit with President Abdulla Yameen at the President’s office.
Speaking during the meeting, President Yameen said that this year marks the 50th anniversary since the establishment of bilateral ties between India and Maldives. He said that he is thankful to the Indian government and its people for their continued support in the international arena.
He gave his assurance that the government is always working towards strengthening the bilateral ties between both countries.
President’s Office undersecretary Mohamed Nasheera, as well as Deputy Minister of the Foreign Ministry Fathimath Inaya also took part in the meeting.
