Covid-19: 12 samples from Meeru Island Resort test negative

Authorities have revealed that the 12 samples collected from Meeru Island Resort & Spa have all tested negative.
Health Protection Agency (HPA) made the reveal late Sunday night.
Following the results, the temporary monitoring measures enforced on the island have since been lifted.
Earlier, authorities lifted monitoring measures on Sheraton Full Moon Resort & Spa as well.
While the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is sweeping across the globe at a dangerously alarming rate, Maldives discovered its first two cases on 7 March.
The first two cases arose from Kuredu Island Resort in Lhaviyani atoll, and more cases have emerged since then, totaling 13.
As such, there have been five cases from Kuredu and two each from Sandies Bathala Resort, Kuramathi Island Resort, Anantara Dhigu and a safari boat named Island Safari 1.
