Maldivian adds 8th seaplane to their fleet

National airline Maldivian has added an 8th seaplane to their fleet.
The aircraft arrived in Maldives, from Canada, Saturday night.
The new seaplane has previously been used in the Maldives. It was used for operations in 1999 as well as in 2003. The seaplane was used in Canada in 2002 and from 2004 to 2010.
The seaplanes operated by Maldivian are DHC 6 Twin Otter aircrafts with a capacity of 15 people.
Island Aviation, Maldivian's operator, says that they are working on adding two additional seaplanes to their fleet by the end of 2016.
Maldivian currently provides seaplane service to six resorts in the country.
