Criminal court has sentenced life imprisonment to a woman for drug trafficking in to the Maldives.
The woman condemned is Nishaana Rasheed (30) of M. Lanseemugeaage, K.Male’.
Nishaana was convicted upon trying to smuggle 69.9468 grams of heroin from India on the 30th of November
2009.
Criminal court stated that Nishaana was sentenced for being found guilty under Clause 2 (a) of the Drug Law.
