A Maldivian who was reported missing in Chennai, India was found Tuesday night.
Vnews was informed that Mohamed Shaafiu, 30, (of Garden, S. Hulhudhoo), was found along a road considerably far from Hotel Aruna, where he and his family were staying. It was also revealed that Shaafiu did not have his bag with him when he was found.
Shaafiu’s brother told Vnews that he was found at around 8:30 p.m., and was taken to a hospital soon after.
Mr. Ali Adam, the Consul at the Maldivian Consulate in Trivandrum, India, has also confirmed that Shaafiu has been found.
According to Shaafiu’s family, he is being treated in India for psychological problems.
