‘Loodhifa’ wins Best Picture award at the 7th National Film Awards after sweeping wins in all major categories.
At the special event held last night at Dharubaaruge, the award for Best Picture was given by Youth Minister Iruthisham Adam.
Director Amjad Ibrahim who has directed and produced over fifty feature films was honored this year with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

• Best Director: Moomin Fuwad (Loodhifaa)
• Best Supporting Actor: Ravee Farooq (Loodhifaa)
• Best Supporting Actress: Fathimath Azifa (Loodhifaa)
• Best Cinematography: Hussain Munawwar (Sazaa)
• Best Editing: Ali Musthafa (Sazaa)
• Best Screenplay Moomin Fuwad (Loodhifaa)
• Best Original Song: Mohamed Fuwad (Loodhifaa)
• Best Playback Vocals, female- Shifa Thaufeeq (Fathishandhuvaruge Feshun)
• Best Playback Vocals, male- Mohamed Abdul Ghani (Hiy Yaaraa Dheefa)
When the National Academy for the Arts invited nominations for the 7th National Film Awards, 17 movies submitted nominations. They included 11 feature films and 6 short films. However, an award ceremony for short films will be held separately later. Movie from 2011 to 2013 were included in the awards.
Judges who deliberated on these movies included Dr Ashraf Abdul Raheem, Ahmed Zareer, Mohamed Shareef (Baaru Sharee), Hussain Imthiyaz (Inthi) and Ali Manik (Dhaari).
