Athif was selected for the North Downs Way 100 due to his recent ultramarathon in Male’. He ran around Male’ for 24 hours completing 145 km.
Athif’s coach and former number one runner in Maldives, Nasir Ismail, said he ran the marathon before he could fully recover an injury, which shows his dedication.
