Maldivian international referee, Ali Abdul Kareem, has been given to opportunity to appear in an international badminton tournament, a first for the country.
He will be taking part in the Yonex Sun International Series, which will be held from October 18 to 20 in Islamabad, Pakistan. The tournament is organized by Badminton Asia in association with the Badminton World Federation.
Kareem, on previous occasions, had the privilege to work as an umpire as well as a technical official in several international tournaments. He is also noted for his role as a technical official in the Olympic Games held at Brazil in August this year.
