Housing ministry says work on establishing GDh. Thinadhoo’s “Museum Park” will be wrapped up by mid-January.
Housing minister Dr. Mohamed Muizzu said the project is being carried out at a fast pace and that the children’s park inside the Museum Park is almost complete.
He said the establishment will be one of the most modern parks to be built in the country, adding that it takes time to complete such an establishment.
Muizzu said if all the work completes by January 15, the place will, at the latest, be ready by beginning of February.
The park consists of a museum, an auditorium and a library.
The project is being carried out by housing ministry, youth ministry, Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) and Maldives Road Development Corporation (MRDC).
Housing ministry has said that the project will cost MVR 25 million.
The Museum Park is part of development efforts underway in the island, coinciding the golden jubilee of the resettlement of Thinadhoo.
