Former Chairman of Bank of Maldives (BML), Dr Abdulla Shiham on Tuesday revealed that he is intending to run at the 2018 Presidential Elections.
Speaking to Vnews, Dr Shiham stated that he will be running as an individual candidate, and that his decision would not change.
Dr. Shiham stated that he had decided to run for Presidency since the political leaders of the country had failed, due to which the unity of the country had been lost.
Speaking about the expenditure of the presidential campaign, Dr Shiham said that he would seek help in our creator, Allah. He added that he does not intend to "buy" anything by contending at the elections, instead he intends to "sell" something.
Dr Shiham had attained his PhD from the International Islamic University of Malaysia in the field of Islamic Shariah.
He had spent numerous years servicing the country through the government.
