A special delegation containing members of the Maldivian Cabinet has met with the Commonwealth Secretary General Kamalesh Sharma.
The government delegation contains Attorney General Mohamed Anil, Foreign Minister Dunya Maumoon, Fisheries Minister Dr. Mohamed Shiny as well as President’s Office Chief Communication Officer Ali Haalid.
The Maldivian Non-resident High Commissioner to England Ahmed Shiaan and Deputy High Commissioner Hassan Shifau also took part in the meeting.
The Foreign Ministry revealed that discussions were held at the meeting regarding the condition of Maldives’ including former President Mohamed Nasheed being allowed abroad for treatment. They also held discussions regarding the recent visit by the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG) delegation to Maldives.
