Hamdhaan Mohamed, who had been missing for a total of five months after being spotted in Malaysia last had been found in Bangkok.
Speaking to Vnews, an official from the Foregin Ministry revealed that the 28 year-old had gone to the Maldivian consulate office in Bangkok on Monday, while adding that he is currently in the consulate office.
He added that a team from the Malaysian High Commission will fly to Bangkok, while noting that no further details of the matter are available as of yet.
The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) had previously announced about the missing Maldivian on their website.
