Finance Ministry has issued a statement saying that all governmental institutions are to only use the national airline Maldivian for all official trips.
Finance Minister, Abdulla Jihad has signed a circular stating that all official trips by the government officials and the government institutions would now be handled by Maldivian Holiday - the travel division of the national airline Maldivian.
The minister further stated that any party traveling with 15 passengers or less should inform the travel division 7 days prior to departure, and parties traveling with more than 15 passengers to give notice 14 days prior to departure.
The circular also states that any cancellation should be made 24 hours prior to departure, and any late cancellations would be charged under the airlines policy.
The circular states that this decision was made to ensure that all trips are arranged with the most convenience and affordable prices.
