A “Walk and Talk” programme has been conducted in Hithaadhoo, Baa Atoll, to promote a crime-free and safe community.
According to Maldives Police Service, the event aimed at strengthening cooperation and trust between the public and the police. As part of the event, the police met with residents of the island and listened to their concerns and exchanged views.
Discussions focused on issues that could be resolved jointly and ways to improve police services. Both sides talked about activities that could be carried out together in the community to help reduce crime.
