An accident at the boatyard in Dhiyamingili island of Thaa atoll has severed the fingers off a worker. 
Mohamed Visham, president of the island’s local government council, said that the worker was part of a crew unloading metal bars using a forklift. 
While being unloaded, the bars had fallen, striking the worker’s right hand and slicing three of his fingers. 
The 36-year-old accident victim had has been treated at the hospital in Vaamendhoo island of Thaa atoll. 
The incident was reported to the police at about 9:15am, and their media official confirms that it is being investigated.
