Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP)’s Chairperson Ali Waheed has stated that even if arrested before Mayday، he will participate in the protest to be held on Mayday.
Speaking at a gathering initiated by Adhaalath Party held at Baa Thulhaadhoo، Ali Waheed stated that the government cannot stop the Mayday.
“The current regime cannot stop the Mayday. Even if arrested، (I) will participate in the protest on Mayday”  Ali Waheed declared.
He further stated that the Mayday is not held to step down the government instead to step down the tyranny.
Speaking in the manner، Ali Waheed stated that the protesters will not be brutal towards Police، MNDF and as well the public and stated that the ones who come to do brutal acts will be stopped by them.
He indicated that some people are scare because of the things happened on 6th،7th، and 8th of February.
“My plea for Umar Naseer and Dr. Shaheem is to hold your strength intact and turn to the side of the public. Today، we are the Majority” Ali Waheed said.
Ali Waheed has commanded the public to be in Male’ on Mayday.
