The Government has on Monday signed agreements for the installation of landing craft for waste management in northern atolls، as well as the development of waste management site at Baa atoll Maalhos.
The agreements were signed by Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim in a ceremony held at the Ministry of Environment and Energy this morning.
The waste management project funded by the World Bank، will be completed within five months. It was contracted for $ 645،000 to an Indian company، Vijai Marine Services.
Maalhos waste management site development contract was signed with a local company، Thashisha Private Limited، for Rf. 591،139، to be completed within three months.
