Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has launched investigations into the death of in utero twins.
IGMH Media Official Zeenath Habeeb had confirmed that the investigation was under way. Additional details had not been issued regarding the case, as it was presently under investigation.
The father of the deceased babies had confirmed the case to various media. He reported that the couple had been in constant consultation with the doctors since their inception and had been conducting regular scans.
He added that the scan doctor had advised for surgery after scans carried out on Wednesday. However, IGMH doctor had not paid attention to the recommendation and had assured the parents that all was well.
The father stated that the family was in a state of shock.
