BML gifts 3 islands with ECG machines
ECG machines were gifted to Baa Atoll Hospital, Baa Atoll Kendhoo Health Centre, and Baa Atoll Goidhoo Health Centre in a ceremony held at Baa Atoll Hospital; attended by Acting Health Minister, Defense Minister Mohamed Nazim and BML Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Andrew Healy. Speaking at the ceremony, Andrew Healy expressed hope that the contributions proved beneficial to locals of the three islands, as well as improving the quality of health services available in the Atoll. “While modern technological devices and machinery may be compulsory in providing effective health services, placing importance in dealing with patients kindly is equally as important,” he said. BML noted that they chose to assist Baa Atoll Hospital as the hospital were awarded best service providers by Health Ministry during this year’s Health Day celebrations. Minister Nazim, in his speech, called BML exemplary, and expressed hope that others would follow in their footsteps in contributing to society.
