Bank of Maldives (BML) has resolved the issue where some transactions were duplicated and appeared as pending in some BML accounts.
Over the past two days, a number of BML customers voiced concerns on social media after seeing transaction amounts that had already been deducted from their accounts appear as pending for a second time.
Many customers reported multiple transactions showing as pending, causing a reduction in their account balances.
At this time, some transactions that have been processed from your account are also appearing as pending transactions. Due to this, your balance may be affected but we assure you that the transactions will be reversed at the earliest. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.— Bank of Maldives (@bankofmaldives) April 7, 2025
In response to a query on social media platform X regarding the issue, BML said that some transactions that had already been processed were mistakenly showing as pending, which led to discrepancies in account balances. The bank assured customers that these transactions would be reversed promptly.
While BML has not yet issued an official statement, BML has said that the issue has been resolved.
