The Maldives has held discussions with the United Kingdom on advancing the higher education and tourism sectors, following the presentation of credentials by the new British Ambassador to the Maldives, Nicholas David Law.
During a ceremony at the President’s Office, Ambassador Law presented his credentials to President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, who congratulated and welcomed him to the Maldives.
Following the ceremony, the two officials held discussions on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in key sectors. The meeting focused on advancing higher education and tourism, as well as addressing climate change adaptation and its associated challenges.
The Maldives and the United Kingdom have maintained diplomatic relations since July 26, 1965, with both countries continuing to explore opportunities for collaboration across various fields.
