Attorney General Muhammad Anil have said that the highest priority of the government is to recover the money lost in MMPRC embezzlement case. This is the largest embezzlement case in the history of Maldives.
Speaking to the press at the President’s Office Anil said that some of the cases in this matter are investigated by the police and they have concluded the investigations and they have sent it to PG now. In addition, he said that even ACC is investigating the case and the government is waiting for those investigations as well.
A total of 1.2 billion Rufiyaa was embezzled in the case and it involved various people including former Vice President of Maldives Ahmed Adheeb.
