Adhaalath Party advises not to practice traditions of other religions

Adhaalath Party has urged not to practice the traditions and celebrations associated with other religions.
Amidst the resorts and hotels preparing for Christmas and New Year celebrations with DJs and music shows، Adhaalath Party released a press statement saying that relaxing، associated with entertainment is a fundamental need for the humans after mental and physical fatigue.
The statement further read that even Muslims can relax and enjoy within the limitations allowed in Islam، but practicing traditional holidays and celebrations in other religions is prohibited.
“Practicing traditions and celebrations of other religions is prohibited in Islam. Muslims should follow the principals mandated by Islam.” the statement says.
Adhaalath Party further said in the statement that motives and origins of a special celebration is what differentiate group of people from others، and what differentiates Muslims from others is the the divine holidays of Islam – Eid-al-Fitr and Eid-al-Ad’ha.
In addition، the statement said that even though celebration of other religions should not be practiced in Maldives، the visitors and guests from other countries should be treated with kindness، and a peaceful environment should be established for them.
