The youth severely injured in the deadly accident in Fuvahmulak last night has been transferred to Malé for further treatment.
The deadly accident which occurred at 21:50 last night claimed the life of the 52-year-old Ahmed Abdulla، an Imam at a mosque، and left Mohamed Nash’rahu، 19، in critical condition.
Nashraf was transferred to Malé early morning by a chartered flight and was immediately taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
Information Officer at IGMH، Zeenath Ali Habeeb informed that as per the instructions of the doctors and as the victim’s condition was critical، he has been changed to ADK Hospital for a neurologist to look at him.
ADK Hospital has not disclosed any details regarding the condition of Nash’rahu.
Reports say the injury to his head has caused internal bleeding.
The locals and police at Fuvahmulak informed the accident is the deadliest recently، and the first one in Ramadan in Fuvahmulak.
