Criminal Court on Wednesday night has issued verdict stating that the Defence Minister Major General Rtd. Moosa Ali Jaleel has been found not guilty on the terrorism charges pressed against him by the State for abducting and isolating Chief Judge of Criminal Court Abdulla ‘Gaazee’ Mohamed in 2012.
The verdict issued by the Criminal Court states that although the State pressed terror charges against Jaleel، and it was found that he participated in discussions and operation following the order by the Commander in Chief، the evidences provided by the State were not enough to convict him on terrorism charges.
The verdict was issued by the three presiding judges of the Criminal Court bench.
