Bank of Maldives (BML) has donated Electrocardiography (ECG) machines to three health service centers in Baa Atoll on Tuesday.
BML donated ECG machines to Baa Atoll Hospital in Eydhafushi، and Health Centers in Baa Kendhoo and Baa Goidhoo.
In a special function held at Baa Atoll Hospital in Eydhafushi، the ECG machines were handed over to Acting Health Minister Colonel (Retired) Mohamed Nazim by Chief Executive Officer of Bank of Maldives Andrew J. Healy.
Speaking in the function، acting Health Minister Nazim said he hopes others will take the example BML has shown and contribute to Health Sector.
CEO of BML Mr. Healy said he anticipates that donating ECG machines to the three Health Centers will provide better health care to the people.
ECG machines are used to record the electrical activity of the hearth، which can be interpreted by a trained physician or a professional doctor to identify the heart condition of a patient.
