MDP has won all seats of Male' city council except one. The only seat that they did not win was the one where the MDP candidate decided to support the government coalition candidate.
That seat was one by DRP. In Henyeyru Center constituency the MDP candidate Niyaz was leading by a great margin.
Based on the preliminary results MDP has won the most number of votes and seats as well. There is a 40 percent difference between MDP and PPM.
