Chancellor of Islamic University, Dr.Shaheem Ali Saeed have stated that the university’s aim is to provide all services needed by the students.
Speaking at a ceremony held at the university yesterday, Dr.Shaheem said that it is an aim of the university to provide library services to the students. He said that, to the university will receive assistance from Islamic Research and Training, a branch of Islamic Development Bank, to develop the library. Dr.Shaheem said that they will sign the memorandum of understanding regarding that project within this month.
Dr.Shaheem thanked Isra, Insif and International Institute of Islamic Thoughts for donating more than 500 books to the library of Islamic University. He said that with these new books and the newly introduced online library, Islamic University has the most resources in the field of Islamic economy and Islamic financing, in Maldives. He further said that he is happy to have made such a great achievement within a short period.
